About the role

The Role

If you're ambitious, curious, and excited by the idea of building a well rounded career in a dynamic industry, this is your moment. We're looking for driven, energetic graduates to join our Graduate Development Programme - an 18 month journey designed to fast track your development and set you up for long term success across a range of business functions.

Based in Glasgow, you'll rotate through key areas of our business gaining hands on experience, expert training, and real responsibility from day one. You'll learn how our industry works, how our customers think, and how each function contributes to delivering the service and expertise that sets GAP apart.

By the end of the programme, you won't just understand our business, you'll be ready to make an impact. You'll know how to build strong relationships, solve problems, support commercial decisions, and contribute to growth in a fast paced, competitive environment.

If you're hungry to learn, ready to grow, and excited to join a high performing team, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

About You

What You'll Be Doing

• Rotating across Operations, Commercial and Sales to build a deep understanding of how the business works
• Learning how to deliver exceptional customer service and support customer focused solutions
• Building strong relationships with customers and internal teams
• Supporting commercial and operational decision making through hands on experience
• Developing core business skills from problem solving to communication and project delivery
• Gaining exposure to real projects, real customers, and real responsibility

What You'll Bring

We're looking for graduates who bring a willingness to learn and the drive to succeed, including:
• A graduate degree
• An interest in developing a broad skill set across operations, commercial activity, and customer engagement
• Strong communication skills - you're clear, confident, and great with people
• A proactive mindset with the ability to think critically and solve problems
• A team player attitude with the drive to succeed in a fast paced environment
• A willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges
• A full UK driving licence is ideal, but not essential

About Us

Why Join GAP?

You'll be joining an industry leader that's growing and genuinely committed to your success. At GAP, we're proud to be the UK's leading equipment hire provider—supporting projects big and small across construction, infrastructure, events, and more. With nearly 200 locations nationwide and a wide range of specialist divisions, we offer exciting opportunities in everything from Plant and Tools to Lifting, Survey, Environmental, and Event Services.

As a family-run business with over 50 years of experience, we believe in doing things the right way. That means:
• More investment in our equipment than anyone else in the industry, so you work with the best tools in the game
• Remaining fully independent, which lets us make agile, long-term decisions that support your success
• Offering real career growth, training, and development from day one
• Support that values you – from generous holidays to Life Assurance and Health & Wellness Support

If you're up for the challenge and want to feel valued at work, then we'd love to hear from you! Ready to get started? Upload your CV and complete our short application - we'll take it from there.

We're proud to be an Equal Opportunities employer and embrace the unique contributions each individual brings.
