About the role

The Role

Are you ready to bring your integrity, professionalism and diligence to a key role within GAP Group's Safety & Risk department?

At GAP Hire Solutions, we are looking for a Safety & Risk Management Advisor who is experienced in safety/ liability investigations and related report writing. The postholder will support the SHE Manager in the efficient reporting, administration and analysis of all safety (liability) related incidents. This will include coordinating immediate response, evidence gathering, root cause analysis and oversight of corrective actions. Based in our Glasgow Head Office, the post holder will be required to visit depots throughout the UK.

What You'll be Doing

• To be responsible for own caseload and to work autonomously in leading the delivery of timely and effective investigations and reports
• Prepare investigation reports, identify root causes and contributory factors and recommend actions to guide sustainable risk reduction measures
• Support the continuous improvement of safe working environments
• Ensure key holders are kept informed of investigation progress

About You

What We're Looking for

• Previous experience in safety investigations and or liability claims handling
• A recognised safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ/SVQ)
• Excellent knowledge of accident investigation methods and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a working knowledge of MS Office
• A full UK driving licence and the ability to work away from home on a regular basis
