About the role

The Role

Our Events Division combines the expertise of all GAP divisions to provide a one stop shop to supply the Events industry across the UK with all their equipment requirements. We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Events Services to lead the continued growth of the division, ensuring customer satisfaction whilst developing our people and introducing new products to the Group.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have full responsibility for ensuring the division meets annual sales and profit budgets. Liaising with the Events Operations Manager, you will identify and recruit the best people from the industry and ensure quality, availability, consistency and security of our product offering. You will have overall management responsibility for all Events personnel and ensure delivery of the company sales strategy both internally and externally
This is a UK-wide role and frequent travel and overnight stays will be an integral part of the role.

About You

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Significant experience working at a senior level within the industry with a real passion for delivery and customer satisfaction
• The ability to develop and sustain strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Proven track record of managing and developing a team to achieve income targets
• A flexible approach to working hours and the ability to independently problem solve with effective solutions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others
• Strong IT, administration and time management skills
• Driving License (essential)
