About the role
The Role

At GAP Hire Solutions, we're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Logistics Planner to join our growing Tanker Services team based at our Glasgow Head Office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment, has a strong eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
In this role, you'll be at the centre of the operation, supporting the day-to-day planning of tanker services routes across the UK.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll liaise with Depots and Tanker drivers to ensure that all tanker services are planned and carried out within GAP processes and guidelines. You will deal with customer and colleagued to ensure accurate and timely sales order processing, servicing planning and execution. You will efficiently plan Tanker Driver routes and ensure that all contracts raised are closed off within agreed timeframes.
A large part of the role will involve speaking with customers over the phone, providing updates, resolving queries, and always ensuring a professional and positive customer experience. Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner are therefore essential.
You will also provide daily, weekly and monthly reports and liaise with senior management and customers with status updates.
About You
What We're Looking for
• Previous logistics planning experience gained within a busy distribution environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
• The ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
• Previous experience and product knowledge in the transport/haulage/waste industry is highly advantageous.
